ING House
The ING House is the headquarters of the Dutch multinational ING financial services company. The shoe-shaped building, designed by Meyer en Van Schooten architects, is constructed like a table on sixteen sloping steel legs. The floors are constructed on top of this table, the third floor overlooks the highway.
Transparency, innovation, eco-friendlyness and openness were the main starting points for the design. The building, mainly consisting of metal and glass, is designed to save energy by the double skin and the specially controlled installations.
HOTH free standing luminaires with 4x36W TC-L compact fluorescent lamps are used in office and conference rooms to decoratively illuminate ceilings in the staff rooms. The high tech appearance of the luminaires fits in the open structure of the building and the interior, which has to illustrate the open and innovative image of ING.
