Coster Diamonds is a diamond factory in Amsterdam. During guided tours the process of cutting and polishing diamonds is explained in detail to about 340.000 visitors a year. In addition, an exclusive collection of loose and set diamonds is shown to the visitors.
The showrooms, including the demonstration desks, have been renovated recently. The lighting demand was to accent the brilliance of the diamonds without causing glare to staff or visitors.
Line is a pendant LED downlight designed as a special fixture for Coster Diamonds. The large number of small LEDs and the spectrum of the LEDs used accent the brilliance of the diamonds. The LEDs are covered by a clear acrylic cover. The housing is made of extruded aluminium, finished matt white. The complete aluminium housing is functioning as a heat sink to dissipate the heat from the LEDs, ensuring an excellent lumen maintenance over a long time. The fixture has been made in different lengths.
