Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam

Atomis lighting was supplied for the newly renovated 90,000 square metres main building of the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam . The building houses four faculties with 7300 students. There are shops and catering facilities made in het hall ways and on the corridors to the campus. In these traffic areas around the “food corner”  the study and lounges are optimally illuminated with Mitron LED spotlights . Here was the premise that the lighting of the concrete structures should play an important architectural role .
