de Waterperels

Public swimming centre "De Waterperels" is a recently new built swimming centre located in Lier, Belgium designed by the architect group Artibel NV. The technical installation and maintenance by Cegelec Belgium. The building houses several swimming pools, thermal baths including sauna, steambaths, indoor and outdoor terraces. The name "De Waterperels" referres to the book titled "Palliter" by the Bergian author Felix Timmermans (1916).

The luminaires used to illuminate the swimming pools are mounted above and beside the pools. Special requirements
are set regarding resistance to water and especially regarding resistance to the corrosive effect of chlorine and ozon.

Teknilux-W IP44 special is a modified version of the standard luminaire. The housing is rededigned to be waterproof IP44 and has a special coating.
